6-10-07 Dixie and Gene Again |

I had some of my repeat clients today. Dixie fished with me back in March and she wanted to bring her husband Gene out today for a little trout action. We started off on Quarantine Island and it was instantly on. Dixie had her lucky pole and was pulling some nice trout in the boat. Gene was throwing shrimptails and her was helping fill the box too. We made a move after an hour or so and we were back on fish. Gene and I put a few more in the box before Dixie decided to call it a day. They are a lot of fun on the boat and they know how to fish. This kind of trip makes my job easy. |

Today I had Martin Jackson and his 2 children. They are from England and this was their first time on the water in the US. They caught some nice trout and they got to see all kinds of new things. It is really neat to see kids experience this for the first time. |

I tried to cancel this trip, but Mr. Beddo wanted his girls to get out on the water anyways. Most of the other guides didn't fish today either. We made it out for a while, but the wind was too much. The girls ended up feeding the bait to the birds and really enjoyed it. I hope the wind is easier on them next time. These people were very friendly and nice. I hope the can get out on a better day. |

Today I had a half day with Jimmy Romaine and family. The water was still a little off from the day before, but we found some decent fish anyways. Lindsy and Nathan had the lucky hand, but their Dad came back in the end. They had a nice box of trout and a great time on the water. |

Today it was rain again. I had Curtis Worth and his uncle from F.t Worth with me and they were pretty hardy fishermen. We sat out one of the worst rain storms we have had in a while. Our best bite was in the rain. When the wind blew, the current started and the fish came. We continued to fish after the storm passed, but the water was torn up by then and we only managed a few more fish. It's a good thing I always carry rain gear with me, even though it was soaked too!!! |

I was part of a 5 boat trip today with Moore Erection from San Antonio. I was fishing with some of the best guides on the coast. We started out on Mud Iskland and picked up a few fish before moving to anthoer shoreline I like to fish. The move paid off with nine more fish. Before the day was up, we made a long run to another one of my favorite spots and there were fish here also. Our boat came in 2nd place with 18 fish for the morning. These guys are super nice and God took care of the fishing for us. |
