Today I took my brother Alan out for a wind blown day on the water. The wind was rippnig at 30 mph by 8:00 this morning. Since he only had limited time here, we went anyways. We fought the wind for a few fish before we finally decided to hide from it in the back of St. Charles. We ran up to the dam and tried for a few redfish. After a few minutes without any action, we brought the lines in. The last rod out seemed to be stuck. I pulled it a little and it started to move. To our amazement, a 10 ft. alligator came to the top of the water. We fought the beast to the side of the boat 3 seperate times. We took a few good pictures of it and watched it roll. We then wised up and decided to break the line before it got really mad. This gator was huge! It was all of 10 feet and rounder than me (that's pretty thick!). So for the record, THERE ARE ALLIGATORS IN ST. CHARLES BAY!!!
