3-25-07 Finally back to Trout Fishing |

The Corns came out with me today. We decided to brave the winds and go chase trout. The first stops were not productive. This was most likely due to the ugly water conditons. I have a few places that have clean water on windy days and it was time to go to the back up spots. The last hole we hit for trout had some nice fish in it. We made about 4 drifts and put several nice trout in the box, including a 25 inch trout that went 6 lbs. We then headed over to a grassy shoreline to chase reds. The fish were in here and hit quickly. We had a very large over-sized red at the back of the boat when it hit the trim tabs and swam to freedom. We put a few drum in the box and lots of rat reds. JB caught a gar that went about 4 feet. Our total count for the day was 14 trout, 1 red and 2 drum.
